Stella

20x20, 2018, acrylic on canvas

Winner of Dixie Classic Fair, exhibited in multiple gallery competitions.

This painting was intended to encapsulate the dreamy, eternally innocent personality of my younger cousin, aptly named Stella. Her feet are bare to suggest a connection with nature, perhaps also of childish disregard of the grass staining her feet. She runs in circles in a fairy-like dance, scattering petals into a misty forest reminiscent of scenes from the fairy tales she has always loved.
