At The Window

The photo this painting is loosely based off of was taken by my mother of my younger sister, then a baby. Concentrating on color and stylized Expressionism, I attempted to capture the sunny and optimistic nature of my sister. The window can be viewed as symbolic, as I, the artist, look back at the baby of the past, and as she, the baby, looks eagerly out at her future.
